Stephen Glass is a recognised expert in the field of beauty. At his salon, Face Facts, founded over a decade ago, he provides individual tuition in the art of make-up. Women from all walks of life have benefited from his many years experience and gift of cool assessment.
A session at Face Facts lasts for around an hour and a half, and includes advice on skincare, eyebrow shaping if required and the step-by step application of make-up created to suit the individual’s natural colouring, age and lifestyle. Furthermore, it involves the unbiased opinion of an objective onlooker. A response that is more reliable and constructive than a mirror image can ever be.

Not being allied exclusively to any cosmetic house, Stephen Glass is free to select his colours and formulations from a wide variety of make-up brands. These products are not sold at Face Facts so avoiding pressure to purchase. Instead, two reference charts are supplied at the end of the lesson – one listing all the products used; the other comprising a simplified colour sketch of the cheek contouring, highlighting and eye make up design.

Stephen advocates that clients return on a regular basis so that he can bring their faces up to date with the latest cosmetic colours and re-assess their skincare routine in line with changes in environment and natural balance.

While some clients visit Face Facts each season, others book for that special occasion. Mothers bring their daughters and, occasionally the reverse occurs. A service for the bride-to-be can also be provided at her home on the wedding day by special arrangement. However, the importance of a consultation at the salon prior to the event is stressed.
